So, NASA was interested in conducting an experiment to test the survivability of an outpost on Mars that they built remotely through the use of several rovers. After successful trials with insects, it was decided to send a mammal as the next step. A domestic feline named Mr. Fluff was chosen to be the first mammal on Mars, and was sent via rocket ship. Unfortunately, Mr. Fluff didn’t last very long and the mammalian trial failed. The team of scientists decided to run the tests again, though, since the death wasn’t due to the conditions of the outpost. 

You see, Curiosity killed the cat.
